During an old yearly ceremony which was round the 24th of July. The man known as the swan marker leads a crew on a 5 day, 79 mile journey along the river Thames, counting, marking and checking the health queen of all unmarked swans. All the swans that are marked, belong to the queen and the ones that aren't are for the public.
