Plants grow through Photosynthesis, which means growing from a seed, growing roots and shoots, leaves, stems, and flowers. The roots suck up water from the ground, the stem holds the food tubes(pholoem)and water tubes(xlem),the leaves suck up sunshine. The Pholoem tubes connect to the leaves and the Xylem connects to the roots. The scientists who study plants are called Botanists.

Margarita its great that you are learning so much about plants. This
helps to explain the importance of water and food for all plants.
Did you notice the beautiful tall pink Cleome flowering in our garden along the back fence? It was you who planted those little seeds in the trays last October! Magic isn't it.
Maybe you will be a botanist just like your great great great Aunt
Bem.She knew all the botanical names of trees and flowers.
